Mercedes W216 CL63 bi-Turbo
Unicate Germany, an MEC Design brand, is an expert in light tuning packages that improve the car with the least changes. This time they’ve picked a Mercedes CL63 AMG, the latest W216 model, and went a bit further than usual with it.
The big luxury coupe gets an aero component from MEC Design’s catalog. It’s a 3pc Rear Spoiler in carbon finish which looks very good on this white car here. Custom interior floor mats were included, with nubuck edging further differentiating the interior from a stock CL 63.
Unicate then fits the car with MEC Design ELS lowering module with a programmed dynamics, but leaves the 21-inch AMG wheels in place. They also provide a complete exhaust system with modified tailpipes on 63 AMG, sound version Apocalypse. That, in combination with the new software they’ve uploaded to the ECU, gives the 5.5 liter biturbo V8 a boost of 72 horsepower.
Additional modifications to the ride height include a MEC designed ELS lowering module, with programmable settings allowing the driver to customize the height for any number of different scenarios.
The CL-Class will be killed off when the new Mercedes S-Class arrives, because its coupe version will take its place. This package is a good sendoff.
