More power, increased torque, lower fuel consumption. Thanks to the fully reworked software of the C-Tronic® system, Carlsson has boosted the performance of the new Mercedes-Benz diesel engines (OM642) to 310 hp and has lowered their fuel consumption by an average of five percent.
The engineers at Carlsson have augmented the success story that is the Carlsson C-Tronic® DIESEL POWER by adding the new engine version 350 CDI with basic performance of 265 hp (195 kW). With the plug-and-drive module, power is increased by 40 hp to 310 hp (228 kW), while maximum torque jumps from 620 to 700 Newton metres. In the E-Class for example, this means that the time taken to go from 0 to 100 kph is reduced from 6.2 to 5.5 seconds.
The new C-Tronic® DIESEL POWER makes use of the engine’s reserves and, thanks to the connection to the vehicle’s electronics system, guarantees that safety limits are always adhered to and that the engine is not exposed to any excessive wear. For the new diesel engines, which are based on completely new fuel injection technology, Carlsson has developed a new generation of the additional control units through a sophisticated endurance test.
The car-maker vouches for the product’s high quality with its three-year factory guarantee, valid from the date of installation. Needless to say, a certificate by the German Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) is included in the scope of delivery, as are all the necessary installation materials, plug adapter and wiring harness. The new C-Tronic® DIESEL POWER is available from all Mercedes-Benz dealers and from Carlsson directly
